SEO audits that turn into an action list

A structured review of technical health, content, local presence and competitors — written so someone can actually implement it.

An SEO audit is useful when it changes what happens next. Too many audits are tool exports with a logo on the cover. Ours is a working document: what is holding the site back, what is worth doing first, and what can wait.

You can commission an audit as a standalone piece of work. Many clients then move to a monthly SEO retainer so the high-impact items are implemented rather than filed.

What the audit covers

Technical SEO (crawl, indexation, speed, canonicals), on-page quality on key templates, content gaps against demand, internal linking, local / Google Business Profile where relevant, and a realistic view of competing sites. We include page experience where it is affecting users or templates at scale.

We start from evidence in Search Console when you can share it, not from a single crawler score.

What you receive

A written report in plain English, a prioritised list, and a conversation. We will not bury a critical noindex mistake on page 47 of a slide deck.

If you only need a second pair of eyes before a redesign or a migration, say so. Migrations have a different risk profile and should be planned before URLs move. See also our note on preparing for an SEO audit.

Benefits

  • Prioritised issues, not an unsorted crawl dump
  • Commercial context: which pages should make money
  • Clear owners: you, your developer, or us
  • A natural route into monthly SEO if you want it

How we work

  1. Access

We need the site, Search Console where possible, and a short brief on how you win work.

  2. Review

Technical, on-page, content gaps, local and a look at serious competitors — not every tool score.

  3. Report

You receive findings grouped by impact, with evidence and recommended actions.

  4. Walkthrough

We talk it through so the report does not sit unread.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an audit and a retainer?

An audit diagnoses and prioritises. A monthly retainer implements and continues the work as the site and SERPs change. Many clients start with an audit and then move to monthly SEO so the list actually gets done.
